Rights of Muslims  Hadith  148  عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ ﷺ : الْبَرْكَةُ مَعَ أَكَابِرِ كُمْ . ( رواه الجاكم وقال : صحيح على شرط البخارى ووافقه الذهبى : )
 
Abdullah ibn 'Abbas Radiyallahu 'anhuma narrates that Rasullullah Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: Blessings are with your elders. (Mustadrak Hakim)

Rights of Muslims  Hadith  149  عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُوْلَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ ليْسَ مِنْ أُمَّتِىْ مَنْ لَمْ يُجِلَّ كَبِيْرَنَا ، وَيَرْحَمْ صَغِيْرَنَا ، وَيَعْرِفْ لِعَالِمِنَا حَقَّهُ . ( رواه احمد والطبر انى فى الكبير واسناده حسن ، مجمع الزوائد : )
 
Ubada Ibn Samit Radiyallahu 'anhu narrates that Rasullullah Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: He is not amongst my followers who neither shows respect to our elders, nor mercy to our youngsters and does not recognise the rights of our 'Alim (scholar). (Musnad Ahmad, Tabarani, Majma-'uz-Zawaid)

Rights of Muslims  Hadith  150  عَنْ أَبِىْ أُمَامَةَ رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ ﷺ اُوْصِى الْخَلِيْفَةَ مِنْ بَعْدِىْ بِتَقْوَى اللهِ ، وَأُوْصِيْهِ بِجَمَاعَةِ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ أَنْ يُعَظِّمَ كَبِيْرَ هُمْ ، وَيَرْحَمَ صَغِيْرَهُمْ ، وَيُوَقِّرَ عَالِمَهُمْ ، وَأَنْ لاَ يَضْرِبَهُمْ فَيُذِلَّهُمْ ، وَلاَ يُوْحِشَهُمْ ، فَيُكَفِّرَهُمْ وَأَنْ لاَ يُخْصِيَهُمْ فَقْطَعَ نَسْلَهُمْ ، وَأَنْ لاَّ يَغْلِقَ بَابَهُ دُوْنَهُمْ فَيَأْكُلَ قَوِيُّهُمْ ضَعِيْفَهُمْ . Abu Umamah Radiyallahu 'anhu narrates that Rasullullah Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: I advise my Caliph to follow after me to fear Allah, and I advise him with regard to the Jama' at of Muslims to be respectful to their elders, and merciful to their youngsters, and to honour their 'Ulama (scholars). He should not beat them so much that they are humiliated; he should not frighten them so as to make them infidels; he should not castrate them so as to finish their race; he should not shut the doors for their complaints, otherwise the strong will overpower the weak. Rights of Muslims  Hadith  151  عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ ﷺ أَقْيَلُوا ذَوِى الْهَيْئَاتِ عَثَرَاتِهِمْ إِلاَّ الْحُدُوْدَ . ( رواه ابوداؤد ، باب فى الحديشفع فيه ، رقم : )
 
A'ishah Radiyallahu 'anna narrates that Rasullullah Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: Forgive people of good qualities on their lapses, but not those faults to which prescribed penalties apply. (Abu Dawud)

Rights of Muslims  Hadith  152  عَنْ عَمْرِوبْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيْهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا أَمَّ النَّبِىَّ ﷺ نَهٰى عَنْ نَتْفِ الشَّيْبِ وَقَالَ : إِنَّهُ الْمُسْلِمِ . ( رواه الترمذى وقال : هذا حديث حسن ، باب ماجاءفى النهى عن نتف الشيب ، رقم : )
 
Abdullah ibn 'Amr Radiyallahu 'anhuma narrates that Nabi Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam prohibited plucking of grey hair and said: Undoubtedly, the old age is the Nur (light) of a Muslim. (Tirmidhi)

Rights of Muslims  Hadith  153  عَنْ أَبِىْ هُرُيْرُة رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُوْلَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ : لاَ تَنْتِفُوا الشَّيْبِ ، فَإِنَّهُ نُوْرٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، وَمَنْ شَابَ شَيْبَةً فِى الإِسْلاَمِ كُتِبَ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنضةٌ وَحُطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيْئَةٌ ، وَرُفِعَ لَهُ دَرَجَةٌ . ( رواه ابن حبان ، قال المحقق : اسناده حسن : )
 
Abu Hurairah Radiyallahu 'anhu narrates that Rasullullah Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: Do not pluck out grey hair. Indeed, they will be a Nur (light) on the Day of Resurrection. He who ages with grey hair in Islam, then for each grey hair a good deed will be written, a sin will be wiped out and he will be elevated in rank for it. (Ibn Hibban)

Rights of Muslims  Hadith  154  عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ ﷺ : إِنَّ لِلهِ تَعَالىٰ أَقْوَامًا يَخْتَصُّهُمْ بِالنِّعَمِ لِمَنَافِعِ الْعِبَادِ وَيُقِرُّهَا فِيْهِمْ مَا بَذَلُوْهَا ، فَإِذَا مَنَعُوْهَا نَزَعَهَا مِنْهُمْ فَحَوَّلَهَا إِلىٰ غَيْرِهِمْ . ( رواه الطبر انى فى الكبير ، وابو نعيم فى الحلية وهو حديث حسن ، الجامع الصغير : )
 
Abdullah ibn 'Umar Radiyallahu 'anhuma narrates that Rasullullah Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: Indeed, Allah blesses certain people wiih special bounties for the benefit of other people. As long as they benefit others, Allah continues His bounties upon them but when they stop benefitting others, Allah takes these bounties back from them and transfers to others. (Tabarani, Hulyat-ul- Awliya, Jami-'us-Saghir)

Rights of Muslims  Hadith  155  عَنْ أَبِىْ ذَرٍّ رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ ﷺ تَبَسُّمُكَ فِىْ وَجْهِ أَخِيْكَ لَكَ صَدَقَةٌ ، وَأَمْرُكَ بِالْمَعْرُوْفٍ وَنَهْيُكَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ صَدَقَةٌ ، وَإِرْشَادُكَ الرَّجُلَ فِىْ أَرْضِ الضَّلاَلِ لَكَ صَدَقَةٌ ، وَبَصَرُكَ لِلرَّجُلِ الرَّدِىْءِ الْبَصَرِ لَكَ صَدَقَةٌ ، وَإِمَاطَتُكَ الْحَجَرَ وَالشَّوْكَ وَالْعَظْمَ عَنِ الطَّرِيْقِ لَكَ صَدَقَةٌ ، وَإِفْرَاُغَك مِنْ دَلْوِكَ فِىْ دَلْوِ أَخِيْكَ لَكَ صَدَقَةٌ . ( رواه الترمذى وقال : هذا حديث حسن غريب ، باب ماجاءفى صنائع المعروف ، رقم : )
 
Abu Dhar Radiyallahu 'anhu narrates that Rasullullah Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: Smiling at your brother is Sadaqah (charity); enjoining good and forbidding from evil is Sadaqah; directing someone who has lost his way is Sadaqah; guiding a man with poor eyesight is Sadaqah; removing stones, thorns and bones from the path is Sadaqah; and pouring water from your bucket into your brother's bucket is Sadaqah. (Tirmidhi)

Rights of Muslims  Hadith  156  عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا عَنِ النَّبِىِّ ﷺ قَالَ : مَنْ مَشَى فِىْ حَاجَةِ أَخِيْهِ كَانَ خَيْرًا لَهُ مِنْ اعْتِكَافِهِ عَشْرَ سِنِيْنَ ، وَمَنِ اعْتَكَفَ يَوْمًا ابْتِغَاءَ وَجْهَ اللهِ جَعَلَ اللهِ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ النَّارِ ثَلاَثَ خَنَادِقِ ، كُلُّ خَنْدَقٍ أَبْعَدُ مَا بَيْنَ الْخَافِقَيْنِ . ( رواه الطبر انى فى الاوسط واسناده جيد ، مجمع الزوائد : )
 
Ibn 'Abbas Radiyallahu 'anhuma narrates that Nabi Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: Going out for a brother's need is better than ten years Itikaf (confining oneself to a masjid exclusively for the worship of Allah). He who observes I'tikaf of one day for Allah's sake, three trenches are placed between him and Hell; each trench is wider than the distance between the earth and the sky. (Tabarani, Majma-'uz-Zawaid)

Rights of Muslims  Hadith  157  عَنْ جَابِرِبْنِ عَبْدِاللهِ وَأَبْىْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ سَهْلٍ الأَنْصَارِىِّ رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُمْ يَقُوْلاَنِ : رَسُوْلُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا مِنِ امْرِىءٍ يَخْذُلُ امْرَءً مُسْلِمًا فِىْ مَوْضِعِ يُنْتَهَكُ فِيْهِ حُرْمَتُهُ وَيُنْتَقَصُ فِيْهِ مِنْ عِرْضِهِ إِلاَّ خَذَلَهُ اللهُ فِىْ مَوْطِنٍ يُحِبُّ فِيْهِ نُصْرَتَهُ ، وَمَا مِنِ امْرِىءٍ يَنْصُرُ مُسْلِمًا فِىْ مَوْضِعٍ يُنْتَقَصُ فِيْهِ مِنْ عِرْضِهِ وَيُنْتَهكُ فِيْهِ مِنْ حُرْمَتِهِ إِلاَّ نَصَرَهُ اللهُ فِىْ مَوْطِنٍ يُحِبُّ نُصْرَتًهُ . ( رواه ابو داؤد ، باب الرجل يذب عن عرض اخيه ، رقم : )
 
Jabir ibn 'Abdullah and Abu Talhah ibn Sahl Al Ansari Radiyallahu 'anhum narrate that Rasullullah Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: No Muslim will desert a man who is confronted with a situation where his respect and honour is being violated but Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala will desert him in a situation when he will be in need of His help. And no Muslim will help a Muslim in a situation when his respect and honour is being violated, but Allah will help him in a situation when he will be in need of His help. (Abu Dawud)

Rights of Muslims  Hadith  158  عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ الْيَمَانِ رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ لاَ يَهْتَمُّ بِأَمْرِ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ فَلَيْسَ مِنْهُمْ ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يُصْبِحْ وَيُمْسِ نَاصِحًا لِلهِ ، وَلِرَ سُوْلِهِ ، وَلِكِتَابِهِ ، وَلإِمَامِهِ ، وَلِعَامَّةِ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ فَلَيْسَ مِنْهُمْ . ( رواه الطبر انى من رواية عبدالله بن جعفر ، التر غيب : وعبد الله بن جعفر وثقه ابو جاتم وأبوزرعة وابن جبان ، التر غيب : )
 
Hudhaifah ibn Yaman Radiyallahu 'anhu narrates that Rasullullah Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: He who is not concerned about the affairs of Muslims is not amongst them. He, who does not pass the morning and evening in a state of sincerity and faithfulness to Allah, His Prophet, His Book, and to the rulers of the Muslims and their common folk, is not amongst them. (Tabarani, Targhib)

Rights of Muslims  Hadith  159  عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيْهِ رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ النَّبِىَّ ﷺ قَالَ : مَنْ كَانَ فِىْ حَاجَةِ أَخِيْهِ كَانَ اللهُ فِىْ حَاجَتِهِ . ( وهو جزء من الحديث ) ( رواه ابوداؤد ، باب المواخاة ، رقم : )
 
Abdullah ibn 'Umar Radiyallahu 'anhuma narrates that Nabi Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: He who is engaged in fulfilling his brother's need, Allah will fulfil his needs. (Abu Dawud)

Rights of Muslims  Hadith  160  عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِىِّ ﷺ قَالَ : الدَّالُ عَلَى الْخَيْرِ كَفَاعِلِهِ وَاللهُ يُحِبُّ إِغَاثَةَ اللَّهْفَانِ . ( رواه البزارمن رواية زياد بن عبدالله النميرى وقدوثق وله شواهد ، التر غيب : )
 
Anas Radiyallahu 'anhu narrates that Nabi Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: He who guides towards good, gets the same reward as the one doing a good deed; and Allah likes helping a man in distress. (Bazzar, Targhib)

Rights of Muslims  Hadith  161  عَنْ جَابِرٍ رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ ﷺ الْمُؤْمِنُ يَأْلَفُ وَيُؤْلَفُ ، وَلاَ خَيْرَ فِىْ مَنْ لاَ يَأْلَفُ وَلاَ يُؤْلَفُ وَخَيْرُ النَّاسِ أَنْفَعُهُمْ لِلنَّاسِ . ( رواه الدار قطنى وهو حديث صحيح ، الجامع الصغير : )
 
Jabir Radiyallahu 'anhu narrates that Rasullullah Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: A believer loves and is loved. There is no good in the one who neither loves nor is loved. The best amongst people is the one who benefits people the most. (Dar Qutni, Jami-'us-Saghir)

Rights of Muslims  Hadith  162  عَنْ أَبِىْ مُوْسَى الأَشْعَرِىِّ رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِىُّ ﷺ عَلٰى كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ صَدَقَةٌ ، قَالُوْا :فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ قَالَ : فَيَعْمَلُ بِيَدَيْهِ فَيَنْفَعُ نَفْسَهُ وَيَتَصَدَّقُ قَالُوا : فَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ أَوْ لَمْ يَفْعَلْ ؟ قَالَ : فَيُعِيْنُ ذَا الْحَاجَةِ الْمَلْهُوْفَ قَالُوْا : فَإِنْ لَمْ يَفْعَلْ ؟ قَالَ : فَلْيَأْمُرْ بِالْخَيْرِ أَوْ قَالَ : بِالْمَعْرُوْفِ قَالَ : فَإِنْ لَمْ يَفْعَلْ ؟ قَالَ فَلْيُمْسِكْ عَنِ الشَّرِّ فَإِنَّهُ لَهُ صَدَقَةٌ . ( رواه البخارى ، باب كل معروف صدقة ، رقم : )
 
Abu Musa Al Ash'ari Radiyallahu 'anhu narrates that Nabi Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: Every Muslim is enjoined to give Sadaqah. He was asked: If one has nothing? He replied: Then he should labour with his own hands to benefit himself and give Sadaqah (as well): The Sahabah asked: If he cannot or does not work? He said: Then he should help the needy and the distressed person. The Sahabah asked further: If he does not do it? He said: Then he should enjoin others what is good. It was said: If he does not do it? He said: Then he should refrain from harming someone; this is (also) a Sadaqah for him. (Bukhari)

Rights of Muslims  Hadith  163  عَنْ أَبِىْ هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ ؤَسُوْلِ اللهِ ﷺ الْمُؤْمِنُ مِرْآةُ الْمُؤْمِنِ ، وَالْمُؤْمِنُ أَخُو الْمُؤْمِنِ يَكُفُّ عَلَيْهِ ضَيْعَتَهُ وَيَحُوْطُهُ مِنْ وَرَآئِهِ . ( رواه ابوداؤد ، باب فى النصيحة زالحياطة ، رقم : )
 
Abu Hurairah Radiyallahu 'anhu narrates that Rasullullah Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: A believer is a believer's mirror; and a believer is a believer's brother, who guards him against loss and protects him in all aspects in his absence. (Abu Dawud)

Rights of Muslims  Hadith  164  عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ ﷺ انْصُرْ أَخَاكَ ظَالِمًا أَوْ مَظْلُوْمًا ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ : يَارَسُوْلَ اللهِ ! أَنْصُرُهُ إِذَا كَانَ مَظْلُوْمًا ، أَفَرَأَيْتَ إِذَا كَانَ ظَالِمًا ، كَيْفَ أَنْصُرُهُ ؟ قَالَ : تَحْجُزُهُ أَوْ تَمْنَعُهُ مِنَ الظُّلْمِ ، فَإِنَّ ذٰلِكَ نَصْرُهُ . ( رواه البخارى ، باب يمين الر جل لصاحبه انه اخوه ...... ، رقم : )
 
Anas Radiyallahu 'anhu narrates that Rasullullah Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: Help your Muslim brother whether he is an oppressor or is oppressed. A man asked: O Rasiilallah! I will help him when he is oppressed, but how can I help him when he is an oppressor? He replied: You stop or prevent him from oppression for indeed that is your help to him. (Bukhari)

Rights of Muslims  Hadith  165  عَنْ عَبْدِاللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِىَّ ﷺ الرَّاحِمُوْنَ يَرْحَمُهُمُ الرَّحْمٰنُ ، ارْحَمُوا أَهْلَ الأَرْضِ يَرْحَمْكُمْ مَنْ فِىْ السَّمَاءِ . ( رواه ابوداؤد ، باب فى الر حمة ، رقم : )
 
Abdullah ibn 'Amr Radiyallahu 'anhuma narrates that Nabi Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: Allah the Compassionate bestows mercy upon the merciful people. So, have mercy upon the inhabitants of the earth, the One in the Heaven will be merciful to you. (Abu Dawud)

Rights of Muslims  Hadith  166  عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ ﷺ الْمَجَالِسُ بِالأَمَانَةِ إِلاَّ ثَلاَثَةَ مَجَالِسَ : سَفْكُ دَمٍ حَرَامٍ ، أَوْفَرْجٌ حَرَامٌ ، أَوِ اقْتِطَاعُ مَالٍ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ . ( رواه ابوداؤد ، باب فى نقل الحديث ، رقم : )
 
Jabir ibn 'Abdullah Radiyallahu 'anhuma narrates that Rasullullah Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: All meetings are (confidential) trusts except three: Those for the purpose of shedding blood unlawfully or committing fornication or grabbing other's property unjustly. (Abu Dawud)

Abu Hurairah Radiyallahu 'anhu narrates that Rasullullah Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: The believer is one from whom people are safe in respect to their lives and wealth. (Nasai)
